When we want to get into shape or maintain our good health there are typically two factors we look at: The first being our diet and the other physical activity. When explaining to patients the best way to take care of their skin, I typically will use this rule as well as the "gym" analogy to accelerate their skincare routines for optimal results. Incorporating treatments and skincare products into our lifestyles like we do diet and exercise will help us achieve the best results. Think of your treatments as your exercise and your skincare as your healthy diet. If you were to diet and eat healthy, wouldn't your results be amplified if you went to the gym conjunctively, rather than just dieting? Why not apply this same concept to your skincare routine? Advanced Dermatology offers an array of treatments and each of the treatments vary when it comes to maintenance. Typically a patient will come into the office to receive a specific treatment every 1-5 months. Skincare should be used three times daily (morning, throughout the day and in the evening). Another way to understand this analogy is knowing that different types of foods we eat are good for different parts of our bodies, the same applies to skincare. There are specific skincare products that will help to enhance and prolong certain treatments.

Treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic and injectable fillers such as Juvederm® can be amplified by using products that help with collagen production, soften expression lines and superficial lines and products that protect us from sun damage.
